We support initiatives in the field of intellectual property

Today the reporting meeting of the Belpatentservice Unitary Enterprise of the BelCCI took place, at which the results of the work for 2024 were summed up.
The areas of economic activity of the enterprise for the reporting period were the following:
- obtaining protection of intellectual property objects (hereinafter referred to as IPO) of Belarusian applicants in the country and abroad and maintaining them in force;
- legally significant actions regarding protected IP, aimed at their commercialization and protection;
- patent information research and trademark searches;
- depositing within the framework of the System of Voluntary Identification and Deposition of Results of Intellectual Activity and Objects of Intellectual Property objects for which state registration is not provided;
- public and educational work in the field of intellectual property in accordance with the Strategy of the Republic of Belarus in the field of intellectual property until 2030 and the Strategic Plan of the BelCCI.
Key indicators in 2024:
· 72 national trademark applications: +22% compared to 2023;
· Deposition of objects without state registration has increased threefold: 18 in 2024; 6 in 2023;
· 24 applications for renewal of trademarks;
· 4 international trademark applications.
Belpatentservice is working to increase the level of protection and is looking for new ways to enhance the filing of international applications.
